Beyond the Basics: From compliance to accomplishment in the Open Government Partnership

The push for open government is turning into a global movement. By nature of its size and reach, the Open Government Partnership has become a central part of the movement, a place where reformers can make commitments and learn about one another’s innovations. My team, the Independent Reporting Mechanism (IRM) is responsible for evaluating those commitments (IRM basics here for those who need it).

Evaluation à Mi-Parcours et Renouveau Stratégique du PGO : Rapport d’Etape, Constatations Principales

En juin 2016, le PGO a commandé une évaluation à mi-parcours de sa stratégie en cours sur quatre ans. L’évaluation a été effectuée par le Groupe de Gestion du Portefeuille de Développement (Development Portfolio Management Group) qui relève de l’Université de Californie du Sud (University of Southern California). Leur rapport évalue quatre secteurs clé:

  1. la théorie du changement du PGO;

  2. la chaîne d’interactions du PGO et leurs résultats;

Evaluación de Medio Término y Actualización Estratégica de OGP: Informe de Avances y Resultados Clave

En junio de 2016, OGP encargó una evaluación de medio término de su actual estrategia  cuatrienal. La evaluación fue realizada por el Development Portfolio Management Group de la Universidad del Sur de California, la cual ya envió un borrador del informe al Comité Directivo y a la Unidad de Apoyo de OGP. La evaluación se enfocó en cuatro áreas: a) la teoría de cambio de OGP, b) la cadena de interacciones y resultados de OGP, c) las reglas de operación y 4) la estructura, organismos y financiamiento.

OGP’s Mid-Term Review and Strategic Refresh: Progress Report, Key Findings

In June 2016 OGP commissioned a mid-term review of its current four-year strategy. The review was carried out by the Development Portfolio Management Group based at the University of Southern California. The report assesses four key areas, a) OGP’s theory of change, b) OGP’s chain of interactions and outcomes, c) rules of the game, and d) structure, organs, and finance. A draft report has now been submitted to the OGP Steering Committee and Support Unit, and the evaluation team are now in the process of incorporating comments.
