CommitmentsWhat is this showing?
This map shows OGP members. Shaded areas are OGP countries and points are OGP local members. Click on members to see when they joined and how many action plans/commitments they have submitted.
How is this calculated?
OGP members include active members, inactive members, and members under review. The map only shows members that have submitted at least one OGP action plan. Note: the map may show borders that do not reflect OGP institutional policy.
Trending Policy Areas
OGP members address various policy areas in their action plans. Hover over the examples below to see how many members are addressing each area.
What is this showing?
This section shows examples of policy areas that OGP members are addressing in their action plans. These are not exhaustive or representative of the diverse set of reforms included in OGP action plans.
How is this calculated?
The numbers shown are the total number of submitted OGP commitments relevant to each policy area. Hover over each policy area to see the number of OGP members that have made those commitments.
Commitment Performance
This section shows the average performance of all assessed OGP commitments according to three key metrics from the Independent Reporting Mechanism (IRM).
45%
of 4638
have the potential to change the status quo
60%
of 3055
are substantially or fully completed
23%
of 2537
have made government significantly more open
What is this showing?
This section shows the average performance of all OGP commitments according to three key metrics: ambition, completion, and early results.
Why is this data helpful?
The three metrics help to show how many OGP commitments are making a difference. These global numbers also serve as a benchmark for performance.
How is this calculated?
The percentages represent the number of commitments that meet each criteria (e.g. ambitious), divided by the total number of commitments assessed on that metric. See the terms below for details. Note: given the nature of reporting by OGP’s Independent Reporting Mechanism (IRM), not all commitments have been assessed on each metric.
