NOUVEAUX PLANS D'ACTION, NOUVELLES AMBITIONS

In Hambourg, Allemagne), the 2026–2029 action plan aims to develop a city-wide sustainability strategy aligned with the SDGs. The plan combines AI-supported analysis, open data, and civic participation to inform sustainability policies and strengthen coordination across government departments. Plus ici et ici.

In Nuevo León (Mexique), the 2026–2027 action plan seeks to institutionalize open government by strengthening the state’s open data portal and increasing the availability, quality, accessibility, and use of gender-responsive public data. Plus ici.

In San Pedro Garza García (Mexico), the 2026–2027 action plan aims to implement a participatory budgeting process and strengthen collaborative care policies that support the recognition and redistribution of unpaid care work. Plus ici.

État de Kaduna (Nigéria) launched a Youth Engagement Power Plan, which aims to regularly collect feedback from young people on public policies, budgets, and government programs. Plus ici et ici.

Vitória da Conquista (Brésil) adopted a new Municipal Open Data Policy and launched a virtual platform for citizen councils to expand public access to government information, preserve council records, and strengthen long-term civic participation. Plus ici.

Quezon City (Philippines) launched a suite of transparency platforms that let residents track infrastructure spending and project progress, access city program data, and submit community complaints digitally in real time. Plus ici et ici.

Timișoara (Romania) introduced an AI-powered virtual assistant that handled over 4,000 citizen interactions in its first month, helping residents access public information, schedule appointments, and submit complaints as part of the city’s push for more accessible and responsive digital government. Quintana Roo (Mexique) shared progress on key open government commitments during the implementation review of its action plan, including a digital property registry, a budget transparency platform, and upcoming environmental governance milestones linked to the Escazú Agreement. Plus ici.

Santa Catarina (Brésil) presented its “Open State” action plan, bringing together the executive, legislative, and judicial branches, along with civil society and academia, under a shared agenda on transparency, participation, accountability, and open justice. Plus ici.

Osasco (Brésil) kicked off the co-creation process for its second action plan through public workshops and consultations focused on transparency, civic participation, public integrity, and the improvement of digital governance. Plus ici.

Bogota - Colombie) opened a call to join the collaborative forum for its second action plan, inviting civil society organizations to help shape, monitor, and participate in decision-making around the city’s open government commitments. Plus ici.

🌐 Practitioners from Buenos Aires (Argentina), Bogotá (Colombia), and Athens (Greece) shared how AI is being used to improve public services and citizen engagement, while stressing the need for transparency, accountability, and human oversight, during the first session of the OGP Local Circle on Digital Governance and AI. ÉVÈNEMENTS

🌐 From May 5–7, Rabat (Morocco) brought together 400 participants from 20 countries for the African Open Government Conference. Local leaders, including mayors from Yoff (Senegal) and Ouellé (Côte d’Ivoire), joined government and civil society delegations from countries across the continent to advance a more political, institutional, and regional open government agenda focused on transparency, participation, accountability, and public trust.
