Problem
Low citizen participation in decision-making for the city
Status quo
The Mayor's Office of Cartagena de Indias has various tools for citizen participation. However, citizen participation is not as high as expected in all areas when it comes to decision-making on city issues.
Action
Holding meetings in different neighborhoods of the city where the administration and citizens can make decisions about issues affecting the neighborhoods where the meetings are held. All of this is possible thanks to the institutional support that the administration brings to the meeting place. The aim is to promote new spaces for citizen participation, increase participation, and joint decision-making.

Restore and increase trust between citizens and the district administration by promoting new spaces for participation where citizens and other actors can participate, thus implementing governmental inclusion where citizens are the main participants in the decisions made by the administration.
