Diana Rodríguez Franco

Secretary for Women's Affairs in the City of Bogotá

Diana Rodríguez Franco holds a Ph.D. in sociology from Northwestern University and a master’s degree in Sociology from the same university. She is a lawyer and economist from the Universidad de Los Andes.

She has dedicated her life to the study and defense of human rights. As Deputy Director and researcher at the Center for the Study of Law, Justice and Society (Dejusticia), she has focused on citizen participation, forced displacement, access to health, and environmental policy issues. She has also been a professor in the faculties of Administration and Law at the Universidad de Los Andes and a visiting professor at the Universidad de Lanus (Argentina). She was the founder of the Criando la Paz campaign, which helped pregnant and lactating ex-combatant women in their transition to peace.
