Janani Padmanabhan

Janani Padmanabhan is Program Officer, Strategic Partnerships at the Open Government Partnership, where her work centers on donor reporting, fundraising, and grants management.

She compiles and shapes data and narratives that convey OGP’s impact to donors, working closely with program teams across the organization to do so. She also contributes to fundraising efforts, including managing member country contributions, donor briefings, and proposal development, helping sustain the funding that supports OGP’s work with governments and civil society worldwide.

Previously, Janani spent four years managing projects and communications for NGOs and impact startups working at the intersections of politics, policy, gender, and health. Most recently, she worked at the Better Politics Foundation, where she managed a portfolio of projects supporting women’s political leadership globally.

She holds a Master’s in International Affairs from the Hertie School in Berlin, Germany, where she specialized in digital governance and gender.
