Sandra Pernar
Senior Regional Coordinator, Europe
Sandra is a Senior Regional Coordinator for Country Support at the Open Government Partnership (OGP), where she focuses on advancing open government reforms and supporting OGP members in Europe, and in particular in the Western Balkans.
Her work focuses on strengthening open government processes and translating commitments to transparency, accountability, and public participation into meaningful reforms. She works with governments, civil society, and international partners to strengthen collaboration and support reforms that respond to citizens’ needs.
Prior to joining OGP, Sandra served as a Senior Advisor at the Croatian Government Office for Cooperation with NGOs, where she was also Croatia’s OGP Point of Contact, and served on the OGP Steering Committee and the inaugural Board of Directors of the OGP Secretariat. At the same time she served as President of the Academy for Political Development, a Croatian organization focused on political education and networking for emerging leaders across politics, business, public administration, civil society, and media. Earlier in her career, she was Executive Director of GONG, a leading Croatian civil society organization working on anti-corruption and good governance.
Sandra holds a university degree in Political Science from the Faculty of Political Science, University of Zagreb, Croatia.
Sandra is based in Brussels, Belgium.
