Athena Gabrielle Abanto

Athena Gabrielle Abanto, or Keow, is Communications Coordinator at CheckMySchool. She earned her Master’s Degree in International Studies in Miriam College in 2015, and also earned her bachelor’s degree of International Studies Major in International Politics and Minor in Peace Studies in 2010 at the same institution. She is currently studying Mandarin at the Confucius Institute at the Ateneo de Manila University. Having worked for international/regional NGOs in the past, Keow has been exposed to several advocacies in gender equality and feminism. She speaks Cebuano, Mandarin and Thai.
