      MAAGD0005

      Commitment Title

Strengthen external communication and consolidate territorial marketing for increased visibility of the city of Agadir.

      Problem

Agadir's image and attractiveness, while positive, lack a unified and proactive external communication and territorial marketing strategy. The city isn't fully leveraging its potential to attract investments, talent, and visitors beyond its status as a seaside destination. Low visibility of development projects and a lack of coherence in communicated messages limit its influence and competitiveness on national and international stages.

      Status quo

Currently, Agadir's communication relies on sporadic initiatives and sometimes disparate channels. Despite the existence of a Municipality Facebook page and some promotional materials, there's a missing integrated and unified territorial marketing strategy. Existing digital platforms (websites, social media) still need optimization for maximum visibility and continuous engagement with international targets. Communication actions must remain proactive, and collaboration between various stakeholders (municipality, regional tourism center, businesses) requires optimal synergy. Progress has been made with service digitalization, but communication around these advancements isn't always optimal.

      Action

This commitment aims to structure and boost Agadir's external communication and territorial marketing. It will revolve around the creation and optimization of dedicated digital platforms, the development of targeted communication campaigns, participation in major events (trade shows, forums), and the establishment of strategic partnerships. The overall objective is to increase the city's notoriety and attractiveness nationally and internationally, showcasing Agadir as a prime destination for investment, sustainable tourism, and innovation, capitalizing on the advantages already gained in terms of municipal service digitalization.

How will the commitment contribute to solving the public problem described above?

By strengthening external communication and territorial marketing, this commitment will support Agadir's current influence. Expected outcomes include an integrated digital platform (multilingual website, active social media), impactful communication campaigns highlighting Agadir's opportunities, increased and targeted participation in international trade shows, and strong partnerships with development stakeholders. Anticipated results are a measurable increase in foreign direct investments, tourist numbers, the city's reputation as a Smart City, and greater citizen involvement in local life through better information.

What long-term goal as identified in your Open Government Strategy does this commitment relate to?

This commitment directly relates to the long-term objective of making Agadir a resilient, smart, and inclusive metropolis, recognized for its economic and tourist appeal and quality of life. It contributes to the vision of an open government by promoting the transparency of actions and investment opportunities, fostering citizen participation through accessible information, and using technological innovation to improve visibility and engagement.
