Open participative and consultative digital mechanisms
Maintaining citizen participation in broader regional planning and priorities is challenging, Citizens and CSOs intend to focus more on the sub-regional and local planning affecting their daily lives and proximity needs at municipal (communal) level.
Continuous, communication, consultation and Technology provide opportunities to expand and ensure engagement at regional level.
Only few CSOs have the capacity to participate and engage in with decision makers at the regional level, including large CSOs and networks, few CSOs attend regional council's sessions.

This commitment aims to expand efforts to broaden reach and engagement with citizens and CSOs by using technology tools to support and expand citizen participation with the regional council.

Ensuring inclusive citizen participation in regional planning by limiting the geographic barriers and especially for remote areas and populations.
