Commitment Title
Unify and strengthen digital tools to promote spaces for dialogue and citizen participation in entrepreneurship issues and build an information system that provides information on the requirements for the creation of businesses
Problem
As a result of the public survey and the working groups with specialists in the field, it is concluded that one of the biggest problems in the sector is the disengagement of the government with all the sectors involved, as well as the existing support for new companies or the strengthening existing ones.
Status quo
The Directorate of Economic Development and Competitiveness is the body in charge of directing, administering, and controlling the policies, programs, works, and actions that promote municipal economic development, the generation of sources of employment, as well as the management of the installation of industries in the municipality. Based on what was discussed in the co-creation tables held for the construction of this commitment of the Open Government Action Plan of the Municipality of Chihuahua, a request was made to carry out activities aimed at improving support and facilitating access to information for building new businesses. In this way, it is expected not only to improve access to information on procedures, services, requirements, supports, services, and documentation necessary to create and even strengthen businesses, but also to increase citizens' knowledge and interest in starting new businesses and thus contribute to the competitiveness and economic growth of the Municipality of Chihuahua.
Action
- Improve the tools that the municipal government already has to support entrepreneurs, carrying out the necessary procedures to start a business and obtaining benefits and training.
- Greater dissemination and use of channels, tools, programs, and projects dedicated to supporting entrepreneurship.
- Strengthening and professionalization of entrepreneurs in the Municipality of Chihuahua and creating more economic spaces that generate added value to their proposals.
How will the commitment contribute to solving the public problem described above?
- Build a digital platform and an informative brochure that concentrates information on the relevant procedures for the creation and strengthening of companies.
- This platform will provide complete, grouped, and accessible information on programs to promote and support the economic sector of local entrepreneurs and MSMEs and seeks to unify and strengthen the digital tools and information system of the municipal government, opening spaces for interaction and support for entrepreneurs and MSMEs, in order to facilitate the generation of new businesses and thus promote competitiveness in the Municipality of Chihuahua.
What long-term goal as identified in your Open Government Strategy does this commitment relate to?
