Problem
Lack of regulations on the importance of citizen participation in local government decision making, for which it is proposed to develop a proposal together with the citizens on this issue in order to empower the active forces of the canton.
Status quo
Citizen participation implies a process of social construction of public policies, considering that these arise from actions and omissions. Hence, from the co-creation process it was possible to identify that there is still a lack of knowledge on the part of citizens about the participation spaces in which they can get involved and the importance of these spaces for making decisions that affect or have an impact on citizens.
Action
Conduct a citizen consultation to identify the best channels for disseminating information on municipal activities and cantonal activities.
Disseminate quarterly bulletins on the municipality's projects in order to keep citizens informed.
Diversify the communication format towards the use of resources that promote the inclusion of the visually and hearing impaired population.
Create biannual spaces for listening and accountability with the various populations of the canton.
