Commitment Title
Development of an e-portal for online applications and citizen requests
Problem
The current process for business registration and scholarship applications in the municipality is outdated and inefficient, requiring citizens to visit municipal offices in person. This creates unnecessary bureaucratic delays and limits accessibility, particularly for young people and entrepreneurs. The lack of an online platform for these services reduces transparency, increases the potential for errors, and prevents citizens from easily tracking the status of their applications, leading to frustration and decreased civic engagement. This commitment aims to address these challenges by digitizing key municipal services, improving efficiency, accessibility, and transparency.
Status quo
Currently, business registration and scholarship applications within the municipality are conducted manually and require in-person visits to municipal offices. Citizens are required to submit paper forms, which often leads to delays, inefficiencies, and lack of transparency in processing. The existing system lacks a centralized platform for tracking the status of applications, and there is no option for submitting or processing applications online. This creates barriers to access, especially for young people, entrepreneurs, and those with limited mobility or time, resulting in reduced citizen engagement and a cumbersome experience for both citizens and municipal staff.
Action
The commitment involves the development and implementation of an e-portal that will allow citizens to submit online applications for business registration and municipal scholarships. The portal will feature a user-friendly interface that streamlines the application process, enabling citizens to complete necessary forms and track their status online, without the need for in-person visits. The expected results include increased efficiency, reduced paperwork, and improved accessibility to municipal services. The overall objective is to enhance transparency, reduce bureaucratic delays, and improve citizen engagement by providing a modern, digital solution for business registrations and scholarship applications. This commitment will contribute to the municipality’s goal of digital transformation, making services more accessible, efficient, and transparent.
How will the commitment contribute to solving the public problem described above?
By creating an e-portal and implementation of this commitment will transform municipal services into a more modern, transparent, and citizen-centered system, leading to better service delivery and a more engaged community.
