Benjamin Fuentes Castro

Supreme Audit Institution Indpendence Manager at INTOSAI

Benjamin Fuentes is an economist who studied a master’s degree in International Economics at Essex University in the United Kingdom

He worked at the Mexican Public Sector for more than 22 years. Specifically, he was part of the National Audit Office of Mexico for 16 years, responsible for both international activities and internal-technical institutional duties.

He has been expert-consultant for the World Bank and GIZ on public auditing matters.

Currently, he is Manager in the INTOSAI Development Initiative within the Supreme Audit Institution Independence Workstream team.
