Besinati Mpepo

As Technical Director for World Vision’s social accountability work, Besi leads the strategic development and growth of the organisation’s work to ensure children and citizens are equipped and empowered to hold their leaders to account. Overseeing an approach that has to date been implemented in almost 50 countries, Besi works with excellent technical and leadership teams to champion and adapt a proven approach that facilitates citizen and community empowerment, dialogue and accountability for national and local policy commitments towards improved child wellbeing. Besi has worked in World Vision for more than 11 years, in a number of roles, always passionate about ensuring the most vulnerable children in the world are seen and heard by those in power. Originally from Zambia, Besi now lives and works in the UK.
