Matthias Jaeger

Matthias worked for the Department for Effective Public Management, of the Organization of American States (OAS), from early 2014 to May 2018. There, he developed the “OAS Fellowship on Open Government in the Americas” and coordinated its first three editions. Matthias’ work focuses on the design and coordination of leadership and capacity-development programs and on mobilizing the necessary resources to make them happen. Previous to joining the OAS, Matthias worked at the German Bertelsmann Stiftung where he coordinated the “Transformation Index BTI” and the young leaders program “Transformation Thinkers”, among other programs. He currently works as a Senior Consultant, Strategic Initiatives, for Transparency International in Washington D.C. Matthias holds an M.A. in Law and Latin American Studies from Bielefeld University, Germany, and a Master’s in International Public Policy from The Johns Hopkins University (SAIS), in Washington D.C.
