Ravio Patra

Ravio is a public policy researcher and advocacy specialist currently working for the Westminster Foundation for Democracy (WFD) as a program manager covering thematic policy areas such as inclusive and accountable politics, post-legislative scrutiny, inter-parliamentary cooperation, women’s political leadership, and climate action. He coordinates WFD’s work on open parliament and has been a close partner to the Indonesian Parliament in developing and implementing open parliament action plans in the country.

Ravio previously worked as a consultant for the OGP Support Unit in organizing OGP Global Summits in Tbilisi, Georgia (2017), Ottawa, Canada (2019), and Seoul, South Korea (2021) as well as OGP Regional Meetings in Jakarta, Indonesia (2017) and Seoul, South Korea (2018). He has carried out research for OGP’s Independent Reporting Mechanism (IRM) assessing the design and implementation of open government action plans from Afghanistan, Indonesia, Mongolia, and the City of Seoul in South Korea. Between 2016 and 2020, he served as National Coordinator of the Youth Network on Violence against Children (YNVAC) coalition. With support from UNICEF, the coalition delivered capacity building trainings and toolkits for young leaders fighting against bullying and child marriage as well as produced and directed a documentary film exposing the reality of Indonesia’s child criminal justice system.
