Background
There is no background to this law, as Asturias does not have one.
What is the problem/need that the initiative aims to resolve?
Lack of a Participation Law that acts as a reference framework guaranteeing the right of Asturian entities to carry out their participatory activities.
Brief description
The aim is to draft a future Asturian Participation Law in collaboration with various Asturian associations.
Objectives
- To build consensus among Asturian associations and the public administration in order to establish a legislative framework that guarantees citizen participation.
- To implement participatory methodologies that promote collaboration between entities and with the public administration.
- To approve, with the greatest possible consensus, a law that guarantees, promotes and protects the right of association of organisations and citizens in general.
How does the initiative contribute to solving the problem or meeting the need?
A Participation Law, drafted collectively, establishes a legal framework that guarantees and expands rights, thereby improving the capacity of entities to act and promoting actions that encourage social participation.
Relevance to open government values
We understand that the legislative framework is of utmost relevance within the objectives, values and content of Open Government.
