Se implementará una única plataforma de compras públicas electrónicas del Estado con el propósito de dar más transparencia y eficiencia al proceso de contratación administrativa del gobierno.
La plataforma única de compras permitirá a las proveedurías del Estado realizar las transacciones de compra y venta de productos y servicios. Funcionará en forma de un portal de comercio electrónico que operará como una ventanilla única, accesible por medio de Internet. El sistema único de compras del Estado permitirá obtener los siguientes resultados:
• Modernizar el modelo de compras públicas por medio del uso intensivo de la tecnología de punta y adopción de las mejores prácticas internacionales
• Implementar el modelo cero papel y virtualizar las proveedurías
• Generar importantes ahorros en costos y tiempo para el Estado y sector privado
• Obtener menores precios de los productos al fomentar la participación de las empresas
• Aumentar la competitividad de las empresas locales y el Estado
