Description

Problema: La Ley General 200-04 sobre Libre acceso a la Información Pública, establece que todas las entidades que reciben fondos públicos deben de disponer en sitios web con informaciones administrativas de modos que los ciudadanos puedan tener acceso gratuito y en tiempo oportuno, si bien es cierto la República Dominicana ha dado pasos importantes en la promoción de la referida Ley, no menos cierto es que a actualmente de los 156 ayuntamientos a nivel nacional, no se cuenta con un número significativo de Oficina de Libre acceso a la Información pública que brinde servicio al ciudadano, solamente se dispone de 3 indicadores para promover el acceso a la información y los mismos se encuentran dentro de los esfuerzos del Sistema de Monitoreo de los Ayuntamientos (SISMAP), a pesar de que la referida Ley indica cuales informaciones deben estar disponible al ciudadano. Objetivo: Fortalecer la gestión municipal a través de la disponibilidad de la información pública en virtud de la Ley 200-04. Descripción: Desde la entrada en vigencia de la Ley 200-04 sobre Libre Acceso a la Información Pública, los municipios han tenido un bajo promedio en la implementación de la normativa, lo que se traduce en barreras al ejercicio del derecho a la información que dispone los ciudadanos, especialmente porque los municipios son considerados los canales principales de contactos de la administración con la ciudadanía.
