Here’s our monthly roundup of updates from the OGP Local community for September 2022.

ACTION PLAN
  • Quito, Ecuadorpresented its second open government action plan, which includes five commitments focused on citizenship training, local economic development and improvement of the municipality’s geoportal.
  • Sekondi-Takoradi, Ghana, co-created its third open gov action plan and committed to co-creating climate resilience local public policy, building synergies to impact water and sanitation outcomes, and improving efficiency in service delivery via e-government.
  • The Nuevo Leon State in Mexico celebrated its “Participation Week”, which included the announcement of the rules for their participation state law and talks, participation awards to local non-governmental organizations, cultural dialogues on participation and art, workshops and more. The Nuevo Leon Consortium kicked off their public consultation for their upcoming first local action plan.
  • Corrientes, Argentinaheld workshops for the co-creation of climate change commitments within its first OGP action plan.
  • Santa Catarina, Brazil’s project for public services councils is part of their first OGP action plan.
  • Peñalolén, Chile, invites citizens to participate in the Update of the Environment Ordinance, within their OGP action plan.
  • The Municipality of Chihuahua, Mexico, signed an Open Government Declaration and began the co-creation of its first Open Government Action Plan.
