The OGP Local Circle on the 2030 Agenda and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is a community of practice that gathers local and national governments, civil society, and other organizations working to advance sustainable development. It aims to generate a space for the exchange of experiences, challenges, best practices, and tools to advance the 2030 Agenda through an open government perspective.

Meeting Agendas & Recordings

  • Meeting 1: Multilevel Governance Mechanisms for Sustainable Development
    The 2030 Agenda gives us a conceptual framework, a common language to provide answers and concrete solutions to local problems. But to achieve this, multilevel governance mechanisms (shared responsibility between the different decision-making levels, whether national, provincial, regional or municipal) must be in place, such as in the Province of Córdoba.

    Participants shared useful methodologies and tools to engage citizens in sustainable development. The City of São Paulo shared training and resources to implement the 2030 Agenda at the municipality level.
