2025 OGP Global Summit
From October 7-9, 2025, the Government of Spain hosted the 2025 Open Government Partnership (OGP) Global Summit in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain. The Summit brought together more than 2,000 high-level representatives of governments, civil society leaders, and policy-makers from around the world to exchange experiences, best practices, and progress on open government initiatives and implementation on key issues.
At the 2025 OGP Global Summit, we recognized the most promising and impactful reforms submitted to the Open Gov Challenge through the Open Gov Awards, celebrating innovation and progress in open government.
Selecting Vitoria-Gasteiz, the capital city of Euskadi (a member of OGP Local along with five other Autonomous Communities and one municipality in the country) as the host city is a testament to Spain’s commitment to mainstreaming open government at all levels of government.
This was the ninth OGP Global Summit. Previous OGP Global Summits have been held in Canada, Georgia, Estonia, France, Korea, Mexico, United Kingdom, and Brazil.
