Open Contracting

A transparent procurement process, known as open contracting, increases competition, improves public service delivery, and ensures governments better value for their money.

Technical specifications: Commitments that contribute to openness at any stage of the contracting process including designing systems, engaging stakeholders, increasing diversity of procurement awards, publishing and improving data, creating oversight mechanisms, and institutionalizing reforms. Includes commitments that mention open contracting or the open contracting data standard specifically. This is a subset of commitments related to “Public Procurement”.
