Problem to be addressed
Public procurement in Ghana faces challenges such as inconsistent compliance with procurement laws, limited capacity and knowledge gaps among stakeholders, and weak monitoring and oversight. Issues like real and perceived corruption, political interference, and resistance to digital transformation undermine transparency and efficiency. Additionally, unreliable digital infrastructure disrupts e-procurement operations. Many small and mediumsized enterprises (SMEs) are also excluded due to limited awareness and accessibility.
