Description
Project Overview
This commitment focuses on the development of a Grand Design (Blueprint) for the Indonesia Burden of Disease (BoD) Dashboard, a national framework for the integration and visualization of open and standardized disease-burden data. This initiative aims to strengthen transparency, accountability, inclusive public service delivery, and the utilization of data in health policy planning and evaluation.
Targeted Issues
Health policy planning and evaluation in Indonesia continue to face limitations in the use of integrated, open, and cross-sectorally accessible Burden of Disease (BoD) data. Existing BoD data remain fragmented across multiple systems, lack standardization, and have not yet been presented in a national dashboard that supports real-time, evidencebased decision-making across governance levels, including the subnational level. This condition results in limited availability of accurate and transparent health information for policymakers at the central and regional levels, development planners, academics, civil society organizations, and the general public. The most significant impacts are observed in health resource planning, the setting of program priorities, and the monitoring of disparities in disease burden across regions. This issue has persisted for an extended period, alongside the increasing complexity of epidemiological transitions and the growing demand for more precise data over the past decade.

Proposed Solutions
The proposed solution is the development of a Grand Design (Blueprint) for the Indonesia Burden of Disease (BoD) Dashboard as a national framework for the integration, visualization, and utilization of disease burden data that is transparent, interoperable, and oriented toward public policy
Relevance to the 5 Strategic Issues of OGI
Relevance to the Government's Priority Agenda
Can the proposed solution be aligned with the government's work plan as outlined in the Asta Cita (Work Program) document?
This commitment is aligned with: The Health Sector Master Plan (Rencana Induk Bidang Kesehatan/RIBK) 2025–2029; The Health System Transformation agenda, particularly the transformation of the health information system; Asta Cita, especially the strengthening of data-driven governance and evidence-based policymaking; and “Satu Data Indonesia” agenda.
Expected Outcomes
The main outcome to be achieved is the establishment of governance arrangements, a cross-agency data integration architecture, and a blueprint for the Indonesia Burden of Disease (BoD) dashboard.

Results Indicators | Output | Timeline
Completion of the Blueprint for the Indonesia Burden of Disease (BoD) dashboard and policy recommendations for the utilization of the dashboard. | 1.Completion of a study containing evidence and good practices on risk factor–based burden of disease data governance as a reference for the conceptual framework of the BoD dashboard design. 2.Identification of data requirements to be integrated, including population identity, demographic attributes, and unique ID. | Estimated final output for year 1 (M-12)
