Commitment Title

Improving community health and family resilience through the Revitalization of Integrated Health Service Posts (Posyandu)

Problem

  • Regulations for the Family Posyandu from the provincial level to the village level as one of the Village Community Institutions are not yet available;

  • The quality and quantity of cadres are still not optimal in carrying out their duties and functions because not all cadres have received training, frequent cadre changes occur, the number of cadres is still lacking and cadre incentives are still inadequate;

  • Posyandu infrastructure facilities are still limited, such as Scales/Dacin, Anthropometry Kit, Posbindu Kit, Elderly Kit, Youth Kit, Bed, Service Tent, Chair Table;

  • The Posyandu Information System application has not been implemented optimally because : (1) Not all villages have received Posyandu Information System training; (2) Not all operator officers have a Village Head Assignment Letter; (3) Lack of support from health workers in recording and reporting Posyandu information systems

  • Lack of operational support for organizing Family Posyandu such as Supplementary Food Provision, Cadre Training, Stunting Class, Pregnant Women Class, Diagnostic Test

  2. Advocacy to the village government to draft Village Regulations regarding Family Posyandu as one of the Village Community Institutions and their derivatives

  5. Posyandu Information System Application (SIP) operator training in 10 districts/cities throughout NTB Province

Action

This commitment aims to improve community health and family resilience through increasing the capacity of Posyandu to become Family Posyandu which provides more diverse health services and is integrated with other village services and is supported by the Posyandu information system as a medium for information, education and management of village community health data.

How will the commitment contribute to solving the public problem described above?

Through the revitalization of the Family Posyandu, it is hoped that the Posyandu Institution can be well organized, the availability of quality Human Resources (Posyandu cadres), Posyandu infrastructure facilities are fulfilled, Posyandu data collection and reporting can be carried out, the Posyandu operations are fulfilled and the convergence of other social activities is implemented.

This commitment supports the achievement of the development mission of NTB Province, namely the second mission of Clean and Serve NTB, and the third mission of Healthy and Smart NTB. Through the revitalization of Posyandu, it will improve the quality of health services for rural communities, so that the quality of public health will increase and family resilience will be stronger.
