Many of the key aspirations of the open government movement – pursuing rights-based approaches to open government, institutionalizing reforms, promoting and protecting civic space, defending democratic processes, and ensuring an open response, recovery, and renewal from the COVID-19 pandemic – require the support and buy-in of parliaments. There is also a growing demand from citizens for parliaments to be more open, inclusive, and effective in representing the interests of all.

OGP is calling on its community of reformers to step up and actively participate in developing a new strategy of OGP for 2023 -2028. This is your invitation to join us.

The Open Government Partnership (OGP) was founded as a movement of reformers inside and outside of government working to open government across the globe. Reformers co-create action plans that advance open government policies and are independently assessed on their progress.

Now is the time for governments to invest in reforms that can accelerate and improve how they deliver quality education, healthcare, water and sanitation, and supportive infrastructure.
