Consultation process update from Korea

Blog Editor|

A few weeks ago we heard that Dr. Ko Woong-Joe, from Ministry of Public Security and Administration, will serve as the governmental lead for Korea and that several divisions within the government are working to produce sections of the country action plan; the Ministry of Public Security and Administration is currently working to re-draft elements of the plan and translate the draft into English.  The government is using its OGP commitments to improve the integrity of the government in the eyes of the public, with a focus on improving public services and the efficiency these services. The government has been consulting with civil society in a variety of methods, such as http://www.epeople.go.kr , a website and social networking site for each ministry, and is conducting conferences, seminars, public forums, and public hearings with the general public and related civic groups on specific OGP issues.
