Bicentennial Datathon of Municipal Public Policies
Action
The Municipal Planning Secretariat, in coordination with the Information Technology and Open Government Department, will create a space to open and share strategies and tools that facilitate data analysis, specifically from the 2023 La Paz Municipal Household Survey. This will encourage the participation of young university students, proposing and developing innovative solutions using ICT tools. This will also conduct a comprehensive analysis of the status of each sector: urban mobility, resilience, risks, and employment. Data from the Municipal Statistical and Geostatistical Portal will also be accessible, along with other sources to support the analysis. Working groups were previously organized for each sector. The baseline for each sector will be explained, questions answered, and the problems will then be defined, identifying the causes, those affected, beneficiaries, and other important aspects.
Problem
While the GAMLP is a pioneer in the publication and openness of data, the next step is to promote actions for the use of data. This means that users can analyze and establish measures for reuse in the formulation of evidence-based municipal public policies, which more accurately guide decision-making regarding the needs and shortcomings of the inhabitants of the municipality of La Paz.
