Czech Republic Mid-Term Report 2016-2018 – For Public Comment

In 2018, the Independent Reporting Mechanism (IRM) published the Year 1 Report for the Czech Republic’s third action plan. The report covers the implementation of the action plan from July 2016 through October 2017.

In the Czech Republic, the findings of the report are summarized below:

“The priorities of the Czech Republic’s third action plan continue from previous action plans, with a heavy focus on open data and professionalization of public administration. The Government Anti-Corruption Council serves as the multistakeholder forum, and the action plan is closely linked to the anti-corruption agenda. Future action plans could benefit from broadening civil society involvement in the consultative forum and designing more ambitious commitments with clear objectives and measurable activities.”

And in Czech:

“Priority třetího akčního plánu České republiky i nadále vycházejí z předchozích akčních plánů, se zaměřením na otevřená data a profesionalizaci veřejné správy. Rada vlády pro koordinaci boje s korupcí plní funkci tzv. multistakeholder (mnohostranného) fóra a akční plán je úzce propojen s protikorupční agendou. Budoucí akční plány by mohly využívat širšího zapojení občanské společnosti do konzultačního mnohostranného fóra a navrhované závazky by mohly být ambicióznější, s jasnými cíli a měřitelnými činnostmi.”

The two-week public comment period closed Friday, 2 November 2018.
