Sweden Mid-Term Report 2016-2018 – For Public Comment

In 2018, the Independent Reporting Mechanism (IRM) published the progress report for Sweden’s third action plan. The report covers the development and first year of implementation of the action plan, 1 July 2016 through 30 June 2017.

In Sweden, the IRM researcher Alina Östling’s report’s findings are summarized below:

Sweden’s third action plan marks an improvement over its prior plans with a broadened focus that covers foreign aid, digital government, access to documents, and consultation. The next action plan could improve through wider consultation and clearer commitments.

The version of the report for public comment is available in English and Swedish below. The two-week public comment period closed 1 October 2018.
