Brief description of the commitment

The purpose of this commitment is to strengthen institutional processes for the implementation of policies, plans and projects for the prevention of violence against women.

What is the problem that the compromise seeks to address?

The strengthening of actions and mechanisms aimed at preventing violence against women.

What are the causes of the problem?

Social and economic inequalities that impair the enjoyment of the right to a life free of violence and other fundamental freedoms.

Description of the Commitment

What has been done so far to solve the problem?

Visualize it as the most reported crime in the country and the lethality of the problem. The creation and promotion of compliance with mechanisms, laws, plans, policies and projects.

What solution do you propose?

Strengthening of national mechanisms for the advancement of women’s human rights, including the Comprehensive Support Centers for Women Survivors of Violence - CAIMUS - for the comprehensive response to prevent, address, punish and eradicate violence against women.

What results do we want to achieve with the implementation of this commitment?

How will you promote transparency in engagement?

Promote accountability; and report generation . Compliance with the provisions of the Organic Budget Law and its Regulations regarding the implementation and use of the classifier gender budget.

How will engagement help foster accountability?

It makes transparent the progress in the implementation of national and international commitments regarding women’s rights. Improvement of traceability and coordination to expedite the transfer of funds destined for the Comprehensive Support Centers for Women Survivors of Violence - CAIMUS - Verification of monitoring compliance with the National Plan for the Prevention and Eradication of Violence Against Women - PLANOVI-2020-2029.

How will citizen participation improve engagement in the definition, implementation and monitoring of solutions?

Updating and contributing through dialogue to resolve the social scourge in compliance with the provisions of the applicable regulations on the matter. Within the framework of the dialogue, civil society contributes with knowledge, monitoring results and proposals.

Activity 3 Technical strengthening and budget allocations of the Presidential Secretariat for Women -SEPREM- and the Ombudsman for Indigenous Women -DEMI- as mechanisms for the advancement of Human Rights for women. | Budgetary increase of the mechanisms.
