LISBON, PORTUGAL
Evaluate Compliance with the Access to Information Law
As part of its Transparency and Corruption Prevention Strategy, the city of Lisbon (Portugal) committed to evaluating its city’s compliance and effective implementation of the access to information law. Through this evaluation, the city aims to identify areas for improvement in the process of managing citizen requests for information and proactively publishing information online.
NANDI, KENYA
Make Information More Inclusive and Accessible
In Nandi (Kenya), women, youth, and people with disabilities face exclusion from public life. The government committed to developing a county-level Access to Information policy, conducting more effective outreach through ward-level information desks and channels like radio and SMS, and producing materials in accessible, multilingual formats. The government will also publish disaggregated data related to these groups in an open format to better understand service gaps.
SENEGAL
Adopt the Access to Information Bill
On August 2025, parliament adopted a landmark law on access to information. Building on its passage, the government committed to conducting public outreach to support its adoption and creating an independent agency to implement its requirements.
